Steam Traps

Steam traps are designed for condensed water removal. They prevent steam leakage and “recycle” the spare steam back into the heat supply system to which they are attached. As a rule, the cost of a steam trap is recovered within two to three months after installation. Depending on operation principle, Steam traps are divided into four types according to their operating principals: 1) float-type steam traps, 2) thermodynamic steam traps, 3) thermostatic steam traps and 4) bimetal steam traps. Steam traps are available from PromArm in a wide range of materials such as cast iron, carbon steel and stainless steel. Each type can be produced with union, flanged or welded end connections
